![]() This paper work is focusing on a few experiment and medium of unconventional application such as canvas, jut and plaster of paris. ‘The beauty of prints’ can be shown through the quality of lines and plait on the paper medium which is the most attraction compare to any other visual of art disciplinary. Myers (1963:189) have pointed that, paper medium is one of three important steps to determine ‘the beauty of prints’. From the aesthetical point of view, Bernard S. Moreover if the printmaker has the skill of making paper- pulp, the impression can be made into three dimensional effect through either‘blind printing’ or casting technique. Paper is a convensional medium in printmaking that has its own uniqueness and affect. Key Word : Contemporary Prints, Impression, Three Dimensional and Exploration Initial findings found that the exploration of the use of 'un-conventional' technique is the influence of educational background, basic understanding of printmaking and contemporari printmaking atmosphere. The findings obtained through two sources: the literature review and case studies specific to some local printmakers that have been identified. Discussions are based on the views of local printmakers involved through interviews, observations and views of academics as well as the development of global contemporary printmaking. ![]() ![]() The objective of this paper wants to focus on discussion of a number of local printmakers exploring the impression through the application medium of Plaster of Paris, soil and paper pulp using a 'ready-made' as Malay utility craft „sarang putu‟, cups and so forth. ![]() The exploration of a 'beyond boundaries' is turned the conventional approach to obtain results which are usually printed using wooden blocks. However, based on case studies that are being run now researchers at Ph.D level that there is some Malaysian printmakers who do printmaking ventures to produce a three-dimensional impression through 'loans' method uses the 'ready-made' object and Malay utility craft like „sarang putu‟. The beauty of art is displayed through the print qualities of lines and texture on the paper is the main attraction as compared to other visual arts disciplines. From the point of aesthetics, the result is a print that features the beautiful work of prints, or 'the beauty of prints‟. The impressions is a two dimensional effect because the block is obtained through the use of printing. Pop Art artists created one of the most important new ways in producing their printing artworks depending on the idea of constructing the printing surfaces.In the context of tradition, 'Impression' is the 'visual language' on prints available through the four traditional methods of printing: surface, Intaglio, planografi and serigrafi. This is for the purpose of innovation and enriching traditional media and techniques by using new media and technologies to add visual and expressive values to the printed artwork in a way that suits the current age. In the last years of the twentieth century, art prints have experienced many trials that have reinforced the innovative thought depending on involving different printing media and techniques. This is shown in the large number of techniques used to prepare the printing surfaces and molds, as well as the possibilities of innovation and improvement and using new materials and tools in which the artist may see as fulfilling his artistic needs. ![]() Printmaking represents one of the most important branches of art in which innovation and creativity are clearly evident. ![]()
